My Origin

I hail from the crazy world of luxury fashion design

For 9 years, I've been part of various graphic and textile teams, tackling the challenge of incorporating artwork into diverse garments and translating these visions onto fabrics for top fashion houses.

Working in fashion meant juggling intense project management to meet insane deadlines, while collaborating across departments to ensure the designs were not just beautiful but also feasible in the product development roadmap and commercially viable.

Why Career Change?

From high-fashion to high-impact

Leaving behind a very successful career might seem surprising, but I found myself fascinated by the tech industry and human-centred design. I wanted to create products that begin with understanding people and aim to enhance their everyday lives as I was seeking purpose and fulfilment in my career path.

My departure from fashion was driven by more than just a search for new challenges; it was a response to the industry's ecological impact. In my day-to-day life, I try to be environmentally conscious, so witnessing firsthand the impact of fashion pollution, I felt a need to align my career with my values.

Arriving in Product

Go-getting and mental health advocacy

Diving into the digital, I left my job for a BrainStation bootcamp, trading sleep for skills in product design. It was intense, packed with projects, sprints, and a hackathon. Recognised as a top student, I even got to mentor the next wave of designers as a TA.

Soon after, I discovered COG, a seed-stage mental healthcare startup. Their focus on mental healthcare was particularly meaningful to me, so I jumped at the chance to support their senior designer. When she moved on, I didn't flinch; I saw it as an opportunity to step up. Now, I collaborate daily with the founder, PM, and Lead engineer, keeping our customers at the heart of every decision.

One of my first moves? Streamlining our chaotic design system into a workable and scalable framework.

Looking into the Future

Product innovation and empowering environment

Seeking new opportunities, the number one thing for me is the customer-centric mindset of the company. My ideal environment is one that is innovative and disruptive, where products are continually refined based on customer needs, supported by a data and research-driven approach.

I thrive in dynamic settings that foster continuous learning and encourage growth and creativity.

I am looking for a role that balances autonomy with collaboration, allowing me to independently contribute to projects while also benefiting from the support and synergy of a team environment.

Last but not least

Me outside of work

I love planning and organising. Whether organising a move or crafting the perfect holiday itinerary, I love finding the most efficient and enjoyable solutions.

You can often find me dancing my heart out at a concert or festival. I also love to travel and explore new cultures, soaking up inspiration from every corner of the world. Diving is my favourite thing to do when abroad.

And of course, I'm a total cat person. There's just something about those adorable little furballs that makes me smile :)
